Our Returns & Refunds Policy
At Morningside Mahjong, we believe Mahjong is about connection, joy, and spending time together — and we want every order with us to carry that same spirit.
We know returns can sometimes be a headache, so we’ve tried to make things as simple (and fair) as possible. While many other Mahjong brands don’t accept returns at all, we do offer limited returns — plus, we’ll always take care of you if something goes wrong during shipping.
When We Accept Returns

Brand new merchandise purchased from our website can be shipped back within 14 days of delivery for a refund, excluding any shipping fees, if you’ve had a change of heart.
⚠️ Please note: Once the shrink wrap on a tile set has been opened, we’re not able to accept it back as a return.
- Returns need to be approved by our support team before sending them back — just shoot us an email at hello@morningsidemahjong.com
- A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns. This helps cover the cost of our team’s time in carefully putting items back on the shelves and the quality control work we do to replace any damaged or missing inserts, custom packaging, and more.

You’ll be responsible for return shipping to our Houston, Texas warehouse (please share your tracking number with us once it’s on the way).
- Items purchased from a retail location must be returned to that retail shop directly and will not be accepted at our warehouse.
Preorders
Preordering is a great way to reserve your set, but please note: preorders can only be canceled, swapped, or refunded up until the item ships. We’ll always keep you updated on timing and let you know if there are any delays.
Damaged Deliveries
If your order arrives less than perfect, don’t worry — we’ve got you. Just contact us within 14 days of delivery with a quick description and photos of the issue. After reviewing, we’ll guide you through the next steps and send you a prepaid return label so you can send the damaged product back to us, and we'll provide a quick replacement for you.
Packages Lost in Transit
While it’s rare, packages do sometimes go missing. If that happens, let us know and we’ll open a claim with the carrier. If they confirm it’s lost, you can choose between a replacement (if available) or a refund back to your original payment method.
Approved Returns
If we approve a return, the item must come back in its original packaging with all accessories and inserts. Returns that are incomplete or show signs of use or damage by the customer may not be eligible for a refund or replacement.
Refund Processing
Refunds are always sent back to your original payment method. Once we process it on our end, the rest depends on your bank or payment provider’s timing.
