Luna Tiles - Heirloom Engraved Tile Set

I am not a fan of these Mahjong tiles. These are the first tiles I purchased. They are bigger then I like and they are plastic and supper light weight.Not what I expected at all. I wish I woukd have sent them back but I coukd not tell how plastic they were until they were opened.

I really wanted to love these tiles, but unfortunately they have been a disappointment for me.

I waited to post this review until I had used them for a few months and loads of games to make sure I gave them a fair review.

The biggest issue is that they are extremely top-heavy and unstable on racks. I’ve tried multiple rack styles, including high-quality My Fair Mahjong racks as well as several other types of racks, and these tiles consistently slip, tip over, and fall off. I initially thought the problem was my racks, but after testing several different options, I’ve found that the issue is specific to these tiles. My other tile sets work perfectly well on the same racks.

I was also surprised by how thin and lightweight the tiles feel. Based on the photos and marketing, I expected a more substantial, hefty feel. Instead, they feel lighter and less substantial than I anticipated, which contributes to the instability.

Aesthetically, they are beautiful and well-designed, but functionality matters just as much during gameplay. Constantly having tiles slide and topple over has made them frustrating to use, especially during longer games.

If stability on racks is important to you, I would recommend trying them in person before purchasing or ensuring they can be returned if they don’t work with your setup.

Absolutely gorgeous tiles! The Luna heirloom engraved tiles are easy to read, no tile confusion with this set with simple bold designs and slightly larger for easy handling. The quality and beauty are delightful! The customer service from ownership is responsive and with above and beyond mind set. I’m thrilled with my forever set!
